Another TD:1 win

Two riders on the podium…
…neither of them looking in the right direction.A very huge BLOODY WELL DONE to Twinklydave and Jason Terrahawk, who pulled in 2nd and 3rd at the Premier showcase 24hr Solo race class at OSMM last weekend. The lads were racing on their TD:1 frames, which aren’t as good as the ones you lot can buy right now.
Race reports coming soon.

Man down…
Apologies for slow responses to email but… It’s been a while coming. I have been waiting for a big one to happen, and sure enough, Tuesday it arrived…We were on a test day with the Nukeproof DH bike and some fast lads at the Moelfre track. Thats not us in the vid, but thats the track we were riding. Some of the CRC Intense team were there too, and perhaps, in retrospect trying to keep up with Matt Simmons and Pagey was a mistake, especially on a borrowed bike (I wasn’t riding our sample).
I’m still not entirely sure how, but I think I hit a kicker at about 1:55 on that vid, and took off into space . Cord found me about 10-15mins later, barely concious with a very broken bike. Big dints in my helmet and a pain in my shoulder.
Ed from Greatrock valiantly whisked me to Wrexham Hospital, who checked me over, confirmed the damage – broken collarbone -, and in the process had to cut up my Dianesse suit. And my Icebreaker Merino. And my Aldi long sleeve.
I have a collarbone plating operation booked on Friday, and a 13hr flight to Taiwan on Sunday. ~Hmmmmm.
Ow.

Three Peaks
Ragley supported rider Jason Miles (aka Terrahawk) reports on his experiences of the Three Peaks “hardest cross race in the world” – http://40psi.wordpress.com/2009/09/28/3-peaks-cyclocross-2009/Jason (and team mate Dave Powell) were racing the first Rodwell cyclocross frames in the country. They’re now in stock at Hotlines, ready for the cross season, or the winter commute.
Dave’s report is here – http://www.twinklydave.com/?p=492

A tale of two races.
We got our first race podium this weekend, as Jason Miles piloted one of the TD-1 Rigid 29er Prototype frames to 3rd place at Sleepless in the Saddle. He rode a good solid race, quite in contrast to our lunatic other endurance racer, Twinklydave, who basically blew his nuts off inside 9hrs. But sounds like he had fun.Read semi-victorious Jason’s account here.
Read Dave’s explosive prose here.
And thanks to qwertyphoto for letting us use their race pics.
Read more about the TD-1 project over on the Shedfire Design site.
