Two riders on the podium…
…neither of them looking in the right direction.A very huge BLOODY WELL DONE to Twinklydave and Jason Terrahawk, who pulled in 2nd and 3rd at the Premier showcase 24hr Solo race class at OSMM last weekend. The lads were racing on their TD:1 frames, which aren’t as good as the ones you lot can buy right now.
Race reports coming soon.

Luxy Bar is GO!
We have been working on our offroad drop bar for ages. I mean, Ragley has only been going since Feb ’09, but this bar was on the original “to do” list. We’ve been working with (rather than against) other drop bar people out there, and particular thanks to Sam at Singular Cycles has been particularly helpful in the feedback stages. We’re not going to go into the why’s or wherefores of offroad drop bars, or flared drops, or whatever – and this is another love it or hate it thing, but we like doing stuff like that because I think the world needs it.
Read more about Sam’s test on the final prototype here – http://singularcycles.posterous.com/ragley-luxy-bar-latest
Bars will be shipping in 45 days. Colours – blast black and polished silver. More news later. Now – who wants a carbon one?

Carbon Carnegie Coming Closer
Excuse the alliteration – a really lazy form of headline writing – but here are the first pics of the carbon carnegies in their painted version. We’re doing a raw naked version too, but these are a bit more palatable. All of them have TWO layers of genuine DuPont Kevlar on the outside to guard against scratches and surface damage. Though we’ve wrapped an additional 3k layer around the bit you trim at the end, to stop them fraying (it’s complicated but trust me).We hope to have these in stock at our dealers in a couple of weeks – Mid to Late May.

Pagey’s mmmbop
We’ve been “knocking around” (as they say around here) with Nigel Page for a while now. He’s Team Manager at CRC Intense, and with CRC being the biggest Ragley dealer (after The Bicycle Shop in Skipton), we sort of ended up chatting a bit back. Since then, he’s ridden some trails with us, I’ve ridden some DH with him, which resulted in me trashing his Intense Socom and ending up in hospital.
To make it up to Nigel, I sent him a Ragley frame and parts, and he’s built them up. He called yesterday to say he’d “ridden 10miles to the quarry, ridden the new slopestyle course, ridden home again and was knackered”.
Here’s his post from http://myragley.com/
Hi Brant

Dig for a Pig
Brant knows “Chase” from Singletraction from back in the days of teenage drinking in Bingley. It’s a long long time ago.
Singletraction wanted a prize to encourage people to dig and maintain trails, and Ragley are only too happy to assist. Perhaps, at somepoint when the arm mends, we might get over for a ride.So – want a pig? Head over to Singletraction to read more. Give it back to get something. Word.
